Country Natural Foods has found it necessary to work with a number of beef producers to maintain a more constant supply – beef is still, after all, the mainstay of Alberta meals and once people have tasted really good beef, it's hard to keep up with the demand. When available Anderson beef packs are on offer. For the rest of the year, Country Natural Foods works in cooperation with Y B Quality Meats and their select pool of natural beef producers to supply natural beef by the piece so you can choose your own package.

Jim and Jackie Anderson live south of Rimbey with their two sons, Jeff and Brendon. The Anderson farm is situated in rolling hills and parkland along the Blindman River and has been in the family for half a century.

Their commercial herd of Simmental cows produce a new crop of Charolais or Angus cross calves each spring. These calves graze on pasture all summer. They are then fed silage and grain grown on the Anderson family farm. The Andersons are dedicated to treating their animals well and feeding them natural, wholesome feed without the use of antibiotics or hormone implants.

The Anderson herd selection is based on genetic lines that will meet the demands of today’s informed consumers who are looking for smaller animals and triple A grades that deliver tender, tasty meat, from a trusted and reliable source of naturally raised food.

Just a note- Andersons also produce high quality construction grade straw bales used for building energy efficient straw bale houses and buildings.
