Dan Radomske of Valley Spring Trout Farm raise fish in seven ponds with a combined water area of 15 acres. Each pond is fed by underground spring water. The trout feed on 85% naturally occurring insects and fresh water shrimp. They are supplemented with fish meal mostly to test their responsiveness. No hormones or antibiotics are used. The trout feel so at home that they reproduce on their own in the ponds. Dan offers you the same homegrown high quality of fish that he expects for his own family.
His project has grown from 50 fish to the present capacity of 9000 pounds per year. Production is seasonal from Nov 15 to April 30 to allow for restocking and to ensure the best flavour. The fish are fresh frozen with a 90 day best before date.
